Neurotoxin: The medical term neurotoxin refers to any toxin that affects tissues related to the nervous system. Neurotoxins are often used as medical treatment to treat neurological disorders such as abnormal facial spasms and muscle contractions. Cosmetic surgeons use the neurotoxin Botox® (botulinum toxin) for anti aging skin care treatments to smooth wrinkles especially frown lines around the eyes.
